Illustrative animation: car buyers arrive on a brand website from search, direct visits, publishers and referral sites, social media, and display and video advertising, shown as slip roads joining a motorway. They then travel past gantries for model pages, the configurator and stock and dealer pages to an enquiry. Your brand is compared with a competitor set at every stage, the way eDataXchange benchmarks real automotive journeys.

Ask us a questionWhat does Sophus3 do?
Sophus3 is an automotive digital intelligence, analytics and attribution company. It helps car manufacturers, national sales companies, agencies, publishers and broadcasters benchmark digital performance against competitors, improve web and app analytics, and independently measure how TV, streaming and digital advertising changes car-buyer behaviour.
What is eDataXchange?
eDataXchange is Sophus3's automotive digital competitor benchmarking service, delivered to the industry since 2003. Participating brands share anonymised website data through a cookieless Sophus3 tag, so each brand can compare visits, digital market share, model interest, journey quality and leads with named competitors and the wider market.
Is Sophus3 independent of media owners?
Yes. Sophus3 has no media inventory to sell. That independence is why broadcasters, publishers and brands use it to measure campaign effect, including as measurement partner for ITV and Carwow's Auto Match, which connects ITVX ad exposure with later visits, configurations and test drive enquiries.
Which brands and markets does Sophus3 work with?
Sophus3 works with manufacturers and national sales companies across Europe. Brands that have taken part in eDataXchange include Audi, BMW, Citroën, CUPRA, Dacia, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, MINI, Nissan, Omoda, Peugeot, Renault, SEAT, Vauxhall, Volkswagen and XPeng, and eDataXchange subscriptions cover 30 markets.
Where is Sophus3 based?
Sophus3 Limited is registered in the UK, with a German entity, Sophus3 GmbH, in Frankfurt. The team works from London, Berlin, Frankfurt, Barcelona and Cyprus and supports clients in English and German.
How does a project with Sophus3 start?
Most engagements begin with a short conversation about the decision you need to make. Sophus3 then proposes a focused scope, such as a competitor benchmark, an analytics audit or a campaign measurement design, before any longer-term reporting is agreed.
